Unit One

Unit Ones are primarily responsible for the audiovisual requirements of events. Their main duties include setting up and testing audiovisual equipment for events, providing customer service and technical support during events and breaking down and safely storing equipment after events. Unit Ones also assist the Technical Services department with equipment inventory, provide minor office computer support, and work with the Operations team to identify building infrastructure needs and report safety issues. 

Event Usher

The Event Ushers serve as assistants to patrons and clients in university theatres. They primarily interact with guests by collecting tickets, showing guests to their seats and supporting theatre staff as needed. 

Front Desk Reception

The Front Desk Reception team serves as the first point of contact for Events & Venues. They are responsible for receiving all phone calls and visitors to the office, as well as perform all other work-related tasks as assigned.

Events Team Graduate Student Assistant

The Events Team Graduate Student Assistant supports Events Team staff with the planning and execution of events. Their duties include creating event objectives and strategies; developing marketing plans to maximize event attendance; working with event vendors and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met; and coordinating logistical needs for events.

Student Scheduler

The Student Scheduler's primary responsibilities are to assist the Events & Venues Scheduling staff by creating, updating, and maintaining event reservations in the USI database. They must also assist the Front Desk staff with receiving phone calls and assisting visitors, as well as perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Box Office Seller

Box Office Sellers at university venues assist full-time box office staff with ticket sales to shows and events. Their main duties include opening offices and preparing for daily sales and interacting with and assisting patrons by phone or in-person.

Graduate Student Assistant Scheduler

The Graduate Student Assistant Scheduler assists the Scheduling staff with all Events & Venues scheduling projects. This includes but is not limited to: creating, updating and maintaining event reservations in USI; assisting clients with scheduling questions, policies and procedures; reviewing and approving online space requests for university venues.
