Waiver and Assumption of Risk for Visit George Washington's Mount Vernon

Online acceptance of the Waiver and Assumption of Risk form for the Visit George Washington's Mount Vernon event has ended.  Registered guests may sign a paper version of the waiver before boarding a shuttle on Saturday, February 22.

Shuttles
Complimentary shuttles will pick up guests from the 21st Street entrance of the University Student Center (800 21st Street, NW).  Please review the timeline below.

Either before the trip or on the shuttle ride to the estate, please review:

Attire and Personal Items
Please dress for the weather.  Most of the estate is outdoors and the paths can be uneven.  Flat, closed-toe shoes are recommended as you will be walking for most of the visit.

Do not bring large bags.  There is no storage on the estate.  If you leave items on the shuttle, you do so at your own risk.  We are not responsible for unattended items left on the shuttle.

Timeline

11:00 a.m.    
Bagged lunches available in the University Student Center’s Great Hall (800 21st Street, NW, 1st floor).  You may eat on the shuttle.  You may provide your own snacks, if preferred  

11:30 a.m.    
Shuttles leave from the 21st Street entrance of the University Student Center.  Shuttles will leave on time; please be prompt!

12:00 p.m.    
Arrive at the estate
Includes tours of the mansion with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and self-guided tours of the estate, the Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center, and the Ford Orientation Center

2:30 p.m.    
Attend tribute at the Slave Memorial

3:00 p.m.    
Attend wreath-laying ceremony at Washington’s Tomb

3:30 p.m.    
Shuttles leave from the traffic circle in front of the gift shop.  Shuttles will leave on time; please be prompt!

4:00 p.m.    
Shuttles return to 21st Street entrance of the University Student Center
